We are finalists in the Mum and Working ‘Best Working Parent Blogger’ Awards and we would love it if you would spare 30 seconds to vote for us by clicking on this link : http://mumandworking.co.uk/awards/award-voting.asp
Last week ended on such a high note (finding out we were finalists in two awards) and this week we came crashing back down with a thud. We have learnt that, as speculated in the Press, Kiddicare will be shutting 10 out of 11 of their stores and returning to an on-line business.
What does this mean for us, as at the moment Kiddicare only stock Dribble Stop Tops in their stores and not on-line?
We are truly gutted, as Kiddicare were the first major retailer to sell our tops and everyone who we have come across within the business has been so supportive and encouraging, particularly in our local store (Lakeside) where they have bent over backwards to help us. So, we are keeping our fingers firmly crossed that when all the Stores do finally close, Kiddicare will want to sell our tops via their webpage, ensuring they will still be available to their customers. In fact, this would be great, as we have had lots of people telling us that they are disappointed that our tops are not available on the Kiddicare website, because there is not a Store close to where they live.
Obviously, with staff at Kiddicare worried about their jobs, we will not be at the top of their ‘to do’ list – so it is just a case of being patient (but persistent) and seeing what will be.
But it’s not all doom and gloom – we have some exciting news coming soon! 😀
